Summer sales haul part two: H&M, River Island and Dorothy Perkins - all under £15!

It's not until I started writing this post that I realised how many bargains I had managed to bag. The sales are starting to wind down now but I highly recommend looking through those racks again - you never know what's been added or returned!

Pineapple skirt, £10, River Island
I first spotted this skirt over on Ghost Parties and knew I had to have it! Only thing was, it sold out in the sale online in minutes, and took me two store visits to eventually track it down. I think the bargain was worth it, although my poor boyfriend would probably disagree after being dragged along!

Faux suede and leather biker jacket, £15, H&M
I have a lovely leather jacket from one of Kate Moss's first collections for Topshop but - boo - it's become a casualty of weight loss, going from oversized to drowning me. Leather jackets are so versatile and easy to wear, so this faux suede and leather one from H&M just had to join my wardrobe.

Polka dot shirt, £15, River Island
I have no idea why I picked this up, it's so not my style - oversized, boxy, just not for me. But I love it! It's gorgeous as part of a double denim look with some skinnies, and has been surprisingly cool in the warm weather.

Lily print peplum top, £12, Dorothy Perkins
Another one I never would have considered before - I tend to avoid peplums because of my pear-shaped bod but the fact that this top is quite loose makes it sit perfectly, skimming over my curves.

Black and white stripe dress, £15, River Island
I've wanted Topshop's stripy dress ever since Beyonce was seen wearing it. I'm not usually a sucker for 'seen on' stuff but when it comes to a high street hero on Queen Bey I just can't say no.

I've been waiting for it to come back in to stock for-ev-er but just as it did, I spotted this gorg shift in the River Island sale. It doesn't have the same fitted curve as the Topshop dress but still sits lovely. And for just £15 instead of Topshop's £70 it was a style steal I couldn't leave on the rack.

Floaty blue button back top, £12, River Island I picked this up just as I was wandering over to the till with the stripy dress. It's not a colour or shape I would usually go for but it's actually a really pretty, simple top. I've been wearing it with a pair of black chinos and a big necklace for work so far, but am planning on doing some kind of shorts combination for the weekend.

Gold plated hummingbird bracelet, £3, Dorothy Perkins
How sweet is this little birdie? It was one of those last minute picks from the racks by the tills but I'm so pleased I spotted it. I've been layering it with a few braided bracelets and bangles for a lovely summery vibe.
