Summer sales haul part one: Zara and Topshop

Summer sales are like a second Christmas for fashion bloggers. So many bargains to be had - sadly, not enough time to hunt them all down though!

Pineapple short top, £19.99, Zara
I love the print on this chic Zara top. So far I've paired it with a pair of black chinos and a chunky necklace for work but I think it'll look cute with an a-line skirt for dinner too.

It has a really lovely boxy shape, with a high square neckline. My rule for buying clothes at the moment is to go for the different: I'm guilty of buying the same skater dresses and plain tops over and over again, but I think this is a pretty stand out piece.

Bunny jumper, £7, Topshop, White tennis skater dress, £19.99, Zara; Quilted multicolour skirt, £14.99, Topshop
This bunny jumper has to be my favourite bargain by far this year. I've been eyeing it up since January and managed to pick it up for just £7 in the Topshop sale! It's so snuggly, I almost can't wait for winter to wear it.

Second in line is the Wimbledon-chic dress from Zara. I do love a white dress, they're just so easy to style. I splurged on a pineapple print Klear Klutch a while back which looks fantastic next to the crisp skirt - now I just need to blag myself some tennis tickets!

Last up is a square mini skirt from Topshop. I really should make more of an effort planning my outfits but end up sticking to neutrals or block colours - so I'm hoping this lively little skirt can add a bit of energy to my style. The shoes are some oldies but goodies, bought for just £15 in Matalan at the start of the year.

Black check treggings, £10, Topshop, Pink tea dress, £10, Topshop
And finally, these are the things that are going back. The pink tea dress was reduced to just £10 on the Topshop website, and I can see why. It just looks cheap and blah. The material isn't great and the details are just a bit odd in real life. Same goes for the treggings too: another £10 bargain, but the material just isn't what I expected and up close the print is just a bit too intense for my liking.
