Lanzarote holiday market haul

I do love a good holiday market. So much style, so little suitcase space. A few weeks back we went on a little trip to Lanzarote, so of course I made sure to scoure the markets for some treats. I visited the chic Marina Rubicon and the bustling Teguise markets, both of which are well worth a visit if you're popping over to the island any time soon.

The cute kitten above is actually a ring holder, which I picked up for just €1.50. I'd been eyeing a couple up in the shops over here but even the most basic ones are £8 or £9. This bright little kitty cat is doing the job just fine though, and for only about £1.20 too!

My market mission was to invest in some new jewellery. There can be a lot of cheap, sparkly stuff in holiday markets but Lanzarote has some of the best silver designers selling their wares. The double shell ring at the top (€18) is just big enough to make a statement but still looks great in the day too. The earrings (€14) showcase two gorgeous, opal-esque moonstones, and the amethyst ring (€16) is a dainty little addition to my jewellery box.

This bag of natural palm-oil free soaps was only €11 and they. are. amazing. Full of vegetable oils and lovely natural scents, I've only sampled a few so far but each one has left my skin feeling great. They are infused with flavours such as coconut milk, aloe vera, spearmint and argan, and strawberry (yum yum yum).

These little buddies are just the kind of adorable tat you would expect to buy at a market. My boyfriend and I really wanted some novelty salt and pepper shakers for our new dining room table (no idea why, clearly reading too many home style blogs!) and these hugging cows were just the ticket.
