|Chevron wool coat, £50|
It seems kind of redundant to say but trenches are the most classic coat cut you can get. In winter though, the lightweight mac is very impractical - unless you line it with hot water bottles, I suppose. But that hasn't stopped my fashion senses from tingling for the style lately: this winter, wool trenches have been popping up all over the place and I just had to find one.
For the last few years I've been working a simple button down grey jacket to keep me cosy but it's finally time for an upgrade. The lovely ladies at Izabel London sent this coat over a few weeks back and I'm very happy to report it ticks a ton of boxes: neutral tone, great fit and super warm too. Well worth the investment.
