Who to watch at London Fashion Week S/S12: Day 3, 18/09/11

Day three of London Fashion Week is upon us - who will you be watching? Try Chic & Cheerful's recommendations for shows from our favourite big names guaranteed to wow.

Part of the Mulberry SS12 pre-collection
Mulberry, 10am
The look: Mulberry kicked off AW11 with a Fantastic Mr Fox inspired show of very English ready to wear garments -and carried on this British heritage trend with their seaside inspired nostalgic SS12 pre-collection. As they celebrate their 40th year, it seems clear that this coveted label should be expected to reveal plenty of classic, long lasting designs to add to the Mulberry archives
What to expect: Easy ready to wear, a quirky set and statement handbags.
Watch it for: A look at the best in very British design from fashionista's favourite Mulberry.

Holly Fulton AW11
Holly Fulton, 2pm (Watch live here)
The look: Holly Fulton has risen to success with her art deco styling and bright geometric prints. Her inspirations lie in "art deco; pop intense qualities, aboriginal art; jewelery in many forms; collections - I am shocking hoarder and collect many things including 60s clocks, Swedish glass, books of any sort and objects shaped like hands." (coolhunting.com)
What to expect: Looks for the cool girl on the street.
Watch it for: Modern design pushing the boundaries.

From catwalk to carrier bag: AW11's dalmatian boots
Topshop Unique, 3pm (Watch live here)
The look: I am totally enamoured by Topshop, if I'm honest with you dear reader, and could not live without it willingly. It's consistently edgy, totally on-trend and mixes high fashion design with high street wear-ability.
What to expect: AW11 was all about 1930s dalmatians so who knows what this season's inspirations will be. One thing we do know for sure is that there will be some fantastic styling (remember those spotty nails by Sophy Robson?) and excellent ready to wear design from Topshop's in-house designers.
Watch it for: A sneak peek of next summer's high street wardrobe.

EXTRA, EXTRA!

Tom Ford is on the LFW schedule! After imposing reporting embargoes on his collections in previous years, the famous designer has secured a place in the schedule at 6pm. As a non-follower of Mr Ford's work (and due to the serious lack of information available to hand), I'm a bit wary to say what to expect with this one. Nevertheless, we can all hope for a big show from this renowned designer.
